Did You Know?
- The Lambertville Fire Prevention Bureau is part of the Fire District. What does this mean for residents?
- Maximum flexibility in scheduling inspections to better serve the needs of the community, including evenings and weekends.
- 24/7 availability for fire investigations, permits, inspections, and emergencies.
- All required forms available online in a fillable PDF format.
- Dozens of staff members available to help mitigate issues.
- 24-hour access to fire prevention related questions or concerns.
- The Fire Department and Fire Prevention Bureau are located together at the Lambertville Fire House and committed to the needs of businesses and residents with round-the-clock availability.
- The City of Lambertville Fire District #1 secured about $316,000 in grants and donations in 2024. This money helped us acquire and operationalize a fire engine, new automated external defibrillator (AED) units, and 28 Tri-Band portable radios for communications during emergencies. A big thank you to Chief Barlow, who spent over 500 hours in 2024 researching and applying for grants to help keep costs down for our community.
- The addition at the firehouse is being spearheaded and generously funded by members of the Union Fire Company. The new addition will house a museum to showcase the history of the Union Fire Company and of emergency services within the City of Lambertville Fire Department. This expansion will also greatly enhance our life, safety, and emergency operations by enabling the current congested space to be repurposed to better suit the needs of our emergency personnel.
There will be no impact on emergency services during construction. And there will be zero impact to taxpayers in the city of Lambertville. We’d like to extend our thanks to the members of the Union Fire Company for investing in our community!
