Mary Barna

Mary Barna is currently serving as Fire Commissioner, Vice Chairman. Her term began January 2025 and ends December 31, 2027.
A Lambertville resident since 2000, Mary is deeply passionate about serving our community and has a history of community involvement through various volunteer efforts.
Mary is an active member of the Lambertville Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) where she has gained hands-on experience in emergency preparedness, response and community education—experience that reinforces a people-first approach to public safety. You’ll often find Mary at local events in her bright green CERT vest and hat, working to help keep our community safe (be sure to stop and say hello!).
As Fire Commissioner, Mary prioritizes the safety of our residents and first responders, education and community engagement. She values listening to residents and working together to keep our neighborhoods safe and resilient.
Mary runs a successful consulting business that brings together large employers and their people through careful listening and thoughtful, clear communication and engagement. She’s excited to leverage these skills in her role as Fire Commissioner to help foster community engagement and meaningful connections.
