The City of Lambertville Fire District #1, is a Career Fire Department with Career and Per-Diem Firefighters staffing the district continuously around the clock on a daily basis. The Districts Volunteer Members continue to respond to calls and train as always. As of early 2016, all members are now officially operating under the Fire District as one.
The City of Lambertville Fire District #1 responds to an average of 500+ emergency calls throughout the year, which includes mutual aid assignments in our surrounding communities. In mid 2016, Fire District # 1 became a participating member in the Hunterdon County Technical Rescue Task Force, this unit is a collective group of specialized and highly trained personnel that perform in extreme hazards and conditions that are not common in ordinary emergency calls.
Collectively the Lambertville Fire Department, District #1 operates with:
- One Tower Ladder
- One Rescue/Class A Pumper
- One Engine, One Special Service Unit
- One Rescue Boat
- One Airboat
- One Command Vehicle
- One Utility Vehicle, and One 4×4 Gator.
