Nancy Bakewell
Nancy Bakewell is currently serving in the role of Fire Commissioner, Secretary. She was appointed in August 2025 and her term ends December 31, 2026.
Nancy has been a resident of Lambertville since 2016 and currently resides in the Central Business District. Nancy volunteers her time as Secretary as a way to “give back to the community” which has given her so much – especially in 2021, post-Hurricane Ida. The city of Lambertville, specifically the people, will always hold a special place in Nancy’s heart and she is happy to serve Lambertville in this capacity.
Nancy has a professional background in Hospitality Management and Learning & Development. She currently works for a Fortune 100 healthcare company in a Professional Education Role, owning responsibility for end-to-end operations for HCP learning experiences. She has extensive experience managing multi-million dollar budgets, leading large-scale projects and operationalizing global learning programs.
Nancy loves to learn through hands-on experiences and has learned so much already about the Lambertville Fire Department during her term. She hopes to share her learnings with Lambertville residents through community events and monthly public meetings.
Nancy has a Bachelors Degree in Individualized Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson University and holds Project Management and Lean Six Sigma certifications.
